Characteristics |

CITREX ™ is an organic product with fungicidal, viricidal and bactericidal
properties. Its main active ingredient is physically-activated Vitamin C,
combined with citric acid, lactic acid, glycerol, sodium chloride and
ammonium propionate. |

USES OF CITREX ™ |
|
| |
For the prevention and treatment of infections caused by S. enteritidis,
S. typhimurium, S. pullorum, S. gallinarum, and other pathogenic species
of Salmonella. |

Drinking water |
|
| |
Prevention:
50 ppm continuously. This dose is equivalent to 25 ml of Citrex 20% in 100
L of water, or 5 ml of Citrex 100% in 100 L of water.
Treatment:
100 ppm (50 ml of Citrex 20% in 100 L of water, or 10 ml of Citrex 100% in
100 L of water) for a minimum of 21 days in birds where pathogenic
Salmonella has been detected in the feces. |

Feed |
|
| |
Prevention:
Mix 200 g of Citrex 100% per metric ton (MT) of feed, equivalent to 800
g/MT of Citrex 25% in broilers, layers, breeders and grand parents for a
minimum of 3 weeks.
Treatment:
Mix 300 g of Citrex 100% per MT of feed, equivalent to 1,200 g/MT of
Citrex powder 25% in broilers, layers, breeders and grand parents for a
minimum of 7 to 10 days. |

Simultaneous treatment (water and feed) |
|
| |
In cases of outbreaks, we recommend the following doses in the drinking
water and feed:
Citrex powder = 300 ppm
Citrex liquid = 100 ppm in the drinking water for a minimun of 21 days. |
